We just cranked out a great little sell-sheet we’ll be using to let people know a little more about A&B. Click the screen cap below to download the PDF, and please feel free to forward it to anyone you think may need stellar marketing services at a reasonable rate!

Thanks,

PC Load Letter?!

Despite the obfuscating tagline “You can on” (maybe it sounds better in Korean), this Canon subway ad from Seoul agency Daehong Communications perfectly captures that frustration we’ve all felt when the printer seizes up in a fit of paper-crumpling protest and gives us a confusing error message. (Click the photo for a larger version.)

Brilliant though it is, the temptation for us to try to yank this ad out and take it home with us might be too much to resist…

Amy Klinger to spearhead marketing for OneRichmond

26 Nov

onerichmond1A&B director and co-founder Amy Klinger is serving her community as the Marketing Director for a new initiative aimed at helping keep the businesses afloat in her small Vermont town.

This autumn the bridge in Richmond, VT suddenly experienced a four-week closure, literally dividing the residents and downtown businesses and causing devastating revenue losses. Though the bridge has since re-opened, it will close again completely for at least four months in March for a full-scale rehabilitation.

The OneRichmond nonprofit alliance was formed in order to provide business development and marketing support to downtown businesses, boost traffic on both sides of the bridge, and increase awareness of Richmond as a destination.

picture-13Forget those overpriced hipsters at ILM in Hollywood. A handful of Stanford dudes with cool accents have developed a way for you to embed content – image, video, what-have-you – into an existing video clip wherever you want.

It’s product placement for dummies; the marketing and creative possibilities are nearly endless. We’re willing to bet Stephen Colbert will find a fun application for this…

Taking it on the road

25 Nov

imageIt’s pretty clear by now that the Guitar Hero World Tour Bike video below was a viral stunt pulled by the company (it was executed by Droga5, the firm behind the infamous cell-phone-in-a-microwave video). And at over a million hits in a single week, it appears to be attracting plenty of attention.

But then there’s the angry nerd in the video below that – is he simply Part II of Guitar Hero’s viral marketing strategy, or an actual uber-dork calling them out on the carpet?

One thing’s for sure – it was probably cheaper than having Heidi Klum jump around in a night shirt. (Or jump around out of it – thanks, Brett Ratner.)

Decide for yourself…

Upright comedy by Nathan Hartswick

Asgood & Better director and cofounder Nathan Hartswick took a crack at a new medium the other night, stepping up to the mic in front of nearly 200 people to give his 5-minute standup comedy debut.

The crowd seemed to dig it. Check it out…
